Every year the Federal Immigration Service sums up the results of its work. In 2012, in total 6’806’447 external passports were executed, which exceeds the results of 2011 by 1’069’251 (which was 5’737’196 foreign passports) or by 18.6%.
As for biometric passports — in 2012, 4’806’224 external passports were executed. In 2011, 3’968’471 external biometric passports were executed, which is by 21.1% less than in 2012. There were issued 2’000’223 old version passports (series 63 and 64), compared to 1’768’725 in 2011 (the difference made 231’498 passports or 13.1%).
